Happiness is something that every human being strives for, but it often seems elusive and out of reach. We search for happiness in our relationships, our careers, our possessions, and various other external sources, but true and lasting happiness can only be found in one place – God.
The Bible is filled with verses that remind us of the source of true joy and happiness. One of the most well-known verses on this topic is found in Psalm 16:11, which says, “You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.” This verse reminds us that true joy can only be found in God’s presence, and that it is not fleeting or temporary, but eternal.

In John 15:11, Jesus tells his disciples, “I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.” Jesus came to earth to bring us true joy, and when we abide in Him, we can experience the fullness of that joy.
The Bible is clear that true and lasting happiness can only be found in God. When we seek our happiness in Him, we will find fulfillment, purpose, and joy that goes beyond anything the world can offer. So let us turn to God, the ultimate source of joy, and find true happiness in His presence.
